Slack time is the amount of time that a task can slip without delaying the rest of the project. It is extra time allowed for a task after the task’s planned or projected finish.






MacProject II displays slack time associated with tasks in the Task Timeline and Resource Timeline as a shaded extension to a bar (added on after the elapsed time).
